Or L’Atid offers a modern K-12 Hebrew School—Hebrew School 2.0—that combines engaging Jewish learning with science and arts, providing a unique interdisciplinary experience for our youth. Learners in grades six through eight can participate in B’nei Mitzvah Scholars, which provides a slate of semester-based Judaic Studies courses that enable students to delve deep into our sacred texts and history in addition to intensive Hebrew Language instruction. High Schoolers can sign up for any or all of our teen offerings, including Rock-רק-Ivrit, a high-intermediate level Hebrew class and Sushi & Study with Rabbi Bolton.

Hebrew School 2.0
Elementary School Students—join us for Hebrew School 2.0.
Kindergarten-2nd grade students, build a deep foundation in the Hebrew language—learning to read and write, while beginning to establish a rich vocabulary. Spend Monday afternoons connecting to the Jewish people through the exploration of a language that our people have spoken for millennia. Strengthen your bond with modern Israel, as you learn the letters and words of its inhabitants, steeping yourself in its culture.
3rd-5th grade students, experience Judaism through Etgar Yesodi on Mondays and Wednesdays. Think deeply and understand the roots and practices of Jewish life as never before. Explore our unique holidays and their practices. Connect to halakha and to the values that guide our lives. Study texts from the Tanakh, Mishnah and Talmud in their original Hebrew, and stories from Jewish history. Learn about Israel; its history, culture and people. Connect to Jewish tradition, and live Judaism.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, participate in t’filah. Kindergarten-5th graders, come together to grow our vibrant prayer community. Sing along with our music teacher on Mondays, and step into the leadership role on Wednesdays, leading your peers in prayer and song. Gain and strengthen skills to participate richly in Jewish life.
B’nei Mitzvah Scholars
Middle School students, the journey doesn’t end there! Join us on Monday nights for B’nei Mitvah Scholars. Continue your Hebrew language education with HALLEL (Hebrew Language and Literature). Learn new vocabulary and put it to use, speaking with your peers. In JAMM (Judaism for the Modern Mind), spend the fall semester learning Talmud and Mishnah, understanding the foundations of Jewish law and ritual that we still practice today. In the spring, connect to the Jewish state, learning about Israel’s vibrant history and culture. Understand the complexities of the land that is our national homeland, while weaving yourself into the fabric of its memory.
High Schoolers, participate in our exciting new slate of courses.
Continue learning the language of ground-breaking scientists, Nobel Prize winners, world-class musicians and actors, artists and authors in Rock-רק-Ivrit on Mondays. Explore Hebrew language through news & journal articles, music, poetry, stories, movies, TV and more! Strengthen grammar skills, read and speak with comfort and confidence, and connect to ארץ ישראל and its vibrant culture. Plus, foreign languages look great on college resumes!
You can also sign up for Sushi & Study with Rabbi Bolton, joining him once each month for an evening of rich text study, engaging discussion, and dinner!
Finally, you can sign up for our brand new teen Megillah Reading class with Mark Somerstein. Learn a skill that will last a lifetime, and prepare to read Megillah for the congregation this year (and beyond) on Purim! Develop a new way to be an active participant in life at OZ.
